REMINDER... Rotary owners, scatter shields or blankets are no longer required for any rotary running 11.0 or slower at the drags. The process for the Drags has changed, to race you simply rock up on the day, pay the spectator fee and then pay $60 to race at the Scrutineering Shed. Nice and easy.
Open to all makes/models/engine types (Rotaries/V8's/Imports/Euros etc).
Drag Racing Terms & Conditions
All drivers in a street legal car must wear a helmet and clolsed in shoes. For competition vehicles, please refer to the official IHRA rule book.
All riders/drivers must have a minimum of a restricted licence, bike riders can race on a learners licence on an approved LAMs bike.
Any driver/rider that goes quicker than 11.00 seconds must have an IHRA/NZDRA drag racing licence.
All vehicles must have a current WOF and registration. Any vehicle quicker than 11.00 must must also have an IHRA/NZDRA drag racing tech. A current MSNZ log book and licence can be used as long as the vehicle does not go quicker than 10.00 seconds.
All bike riders on street legal bikes must wear a helmet, closed in shoes and long pants. It is highly recommended that a bike jacket and gloves be worn. For competition bikes, please refer to the official IHRA NZ rule book.
Scrutineering & Terms
Scrutineering will take place on Sunday between 8:30am-1:00pm.
Your vechile needs to have a current Rego, WOF or Tech Inspection Cert to participate. Scrutineers have the final say as to if your vechicle is safe to race.
You must produce your helmet and have the tires your racing fitted on to the vehicle.
You need to have a current NZ valid drivers license to participate.
Refund Policy
Refunds
If you can no longer make the event for whatever reason, there are no refunds. Any ‘no shows’ to the event or emailing afterwards will forfeit your entry. No refunds or transfers will be made. If you would like to transfer your entry, please reply to your confirmation email.
COVID-19
In case of cancelation or postponement, your entry will automatically be transferred to the next possible event date.
