EVENT LAYOUT

Safety Check

Every vehicle has to complete a basic Safety Check before you are allowed out on the track. This is for your safety, and the safety of those around you on the track. Scrutineering will take place in the morning once you’ve gone through the registration desk. Once your car has passed, you’ll receive your window sticker allowing your car access the track. You must then attend drivers briefing to get your drivers wristband and then you’ll be good to go. Please take your documentation received at registration with you to drivers briefing and please have your license ready as well.

If you miss out on registration/safety check times, you will not be allowed onto the track. No exceptions!

All vehicles

  • Brake lights (must be in working condition)

  • Indicators (not required for dedicated track cars)

  • Legal tread on the tyres

  • Battery clamps (must be secured and not able to move, even if it’s in a battery box).

  • Fuel leaks

  • Oil leaks

  • Wheel nuts secured

  • Seat belts (a seat belt is required for all drivers and passengers out on the track. Even the vehicles from the factory without a seat belt, it should have one installed).

  • Noise limit (All tracks have noise limits and you are to obey by the track limits. If your car exceeds the limits then you will be asked to rectify this and if still persists then you won’t be allowed to take your car back out on the track)

  • Firewall

  • Structural damage

  • Door cards

Extra checks for vehicles that are not road worthy e.g. dedicated drift cars, burnout cars, race cars.

  • Racesuit (All race suits must be minimum of single layer fire retardant. SFI or FIA approved.)

  • Approved helmet and footwear

  • Rollcages

  • Padding on roll cage

  • Fuel system has to be fully sealed from drivers compartment

  • Secured seats

  • No sharp objects that can cause injury

  • No major windscreen cracks

  • All cars with a modified engine must have an overflow bottle and oil catch can if one isn’t already fitted

Please take the time to check over your car and gear prior to the event to make sure you get out on the track without any problems.

Safety Requirements for Sessions

Cruising Sessions

  • Seatbelts (No seatbelt, No track time). Even if the vehicle did not come out without seatbelt from the factory.

  • Passengers welcome (must purchase a passenger band)

  • Enclosed Shoes

  • No neck brace is required and no race suit is required.

  • Vehicles equipped with roll cages that is in front of the driver must have padding on it.

  • If your wristband has been revoked for any reasons by the track officials, you will not be allowed on the track for the rest of the day.

Roll Racing Sessions

  • No EV/Hybrid vehicles allowed

  • Seatbelts (No seatbelt, No track time)

  • NO passengers allowed

  • Race suit (All race suits must be minimum of single layer fire retardant. SFI or FIA approved).

  • Motorsport helmet

  • Foam neck brace/donut for non caged cars with standard seat belts

  • No HANS/FHR devices needed for vehicles eqiuped with standard lap belt.

  • For a modified vehicle with a 4 point harness or greater the requirement is HANS/FHR device, fire retardant boots and fire retardant gloves.

Burnouts

  • Seatbelts (No seatbelt, No track time)

  • Enclosed Shoes

  • Race suit OR long sleeve shirt & pants

  • Motorsport helmet

  • Only ONE passenger allowed for Burnouts (Passengers must have the same safety gear as the driver).

Drifting Sessions (Demo's only in 2024)

  • Seat belts/Harnesses

  • Fire retardant enclosed shoes and gloves (Race shoes & gloves advised)

  • Race suit (All race suits must be minimum of single layer fire retardant. SFI or FIA approved.)

  • Approved Motorsport helmet

  • HANS/FHR Device – For vehicles which has a 4 point harness or great, there are various tethered devices available including Hans, NecksGen REV, Impact Accel or Simpson Hybrid.

  • For a modified vehicle with a 4 point harness or greater the requirement is fire retardant boots and fire retardant gloves.

  • No passengers will be permitted as the intention is battle simulation to showcase the sport for the crowd.

Grip Sessions

  • No EV/Hybrid vehicles allowed

  • Seat belts OR Harnesses

  • Sessions are for both caged and non-caged cars and will be separated into short caged and non-caged sessions

  • Fire retardant enclosed shoes and gloves (Race shoes & gloves advised)

  • Race suit (All race suits must be minimum of single layer fire retardant. SFI or FIA approved.)

  • Approved Motorsport helmet

  • Foam neck brace/donut for non caged cars with standard seat belts

  • HANS/FHR Device – For vehicles which have a 4 point harness or greater, there are various tethered devices available including Hans, NecksGen REV, Impact Accel or Simpson Hybrid.

  • Caged race cars only with MANZ/tech inspection log book

  • For a modified vehicle with a 4 point harness or greater the requirement is fire retardant boots and fire retardant gloves.

Passengers

  • Must purchase a passenger band once inside the venue

  • Passengers allowed in the cruising sessions

  • Only ONE passenger allowed for Burnouts. (Passengers must have the same safety gear as the driver – see above).

  • Only ONE passenger is allowed for grip sessions CAGED CARS ONLY (Passengers must have the same safety gear as the driver – see above).

  • Track Staff reserve the right to remove passengers if safety is an issue prior to you getting out on the track.

  • No passengers allowed for Roll Racing.

Please take the time to check over your car and gear prior to the event to make sure you get out on the track without any problems.

Manfeild Terms & Conditions

  • All drivers must hold a minimum restricted licence. If you wish to have passengers in your car, you need a full licence. WOF or Registration is not needed but each car must pass a safety check to be allowed on the track. No exceptions or refunds if your car fails to meet the criteria. The scrutineer’s decision is final. You (the driver) must take your car and drivers’ licence to the scrutineering bay in the allocated time. It is the drivers’ responsibility to ensure your vehicle is properly prepared for the event (please see Safety Check page for more details).

  • Vehicles are preferred to have a minimum third-party insurance with motorsport insurance for this event. You will be personally responsible for all costs and damage associated with injuries or damages done by you or your passengers in the event of an accident. Downtime Entertainment, 4 & Rotary Promotions, Manfeild and the promoters accept no responsibility for any damage, theft, or loss over the weekend.

  • Downtime Entertainment and 4 & Rotary Promotions have zero tolerance for drivers drinking while the track is open. Random breath tests may take place over the weekend, and any driver with a blood alcohol reading of over 0.00 may have their Driver band removed.

  • All drivers are required to wear enclosed shoes while on the track. For the following sessions (Drifting, Roll Racing, Grip Sessions), drivers are required to wear helmets and a race suit (All race suits must be minimum of single layer fire retardant. SFI or FIA approved). For the following sessions (Burnouts/Power Skids), drivers are required to wear race suit or long sleeve shirt & pants.

  • All drivers are to follow instructions from the Downtime Entertainment, 4 & Rotary Promotions or Manfeild staff.

  • All events will go ahead, rain or shine.

  • All drivers and passengers must have the correct wristband on at all times. These are waterproof and may not be removed over the duration of the event. If security or staff notice wristbands have been tampered with, you will be removed from the venue, or be made to purchase another one. If your wristband is removed due to misbehavior around the venue, no refunds or exchanges are given.

  • Drivers are welcome to bring a different vehicle through registration if their original vehicle is unable to make it, however drivers’ licence information must match what is entered online to be eligible to pick up your drivers’ wristband. Competitors are not allowed to swap or transfer competitor stickers to other vehicles. If caught, you will be asked to leave the event without any refunds and with a ban of future Downtime Entertainment, 4 & Rotary Promotions events. We will be checking individual vehicle against the registered information (Rego, Year, Make, Model and colour).

  • Passengers must sign and indemnity form and pay the fee for their passenger wristband before attempting to get in a car. The Driver may not get on the track unless all passengers have the correct wristband.

  • One driver per car only. If your mate wants to have a drive, they will need to pay the full drivers entry price to be able to drive your car. Same deal if you want to bring two cars along. You will need to register both cars separately.

  • Any damage caused to any property must be paid for. This includes but is not limited to Walls, Barriers, Fences, Signage, Equipment as well as fluid drop materials. Staff have the right to detain the vehicle/s in question as collateral until full payment has been made and/or the cost of clearing/cleaning will be passed on to the competitor. Drivers are responsible for their actions on and off the track. Police may be involved if required.

  • Any violent or antisocial behavior by anyone inside the venue will not be tolerated. This will result in your wristbands being removed and being escorted out of the venue by security, and reported to the police if necessary with no refunds.

  • Any person caught driving or attempting to drive a vehicle on the track without the correct wristband or scrutineering stickers will cause the vehicle owner to lose their track access for the weekend, and stickers will be removed. Participants are responsible for your own actions/behaviours as well as your passengers.

By submitting your entry online, you hereby confirm and warrant and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions in favour, and for the benefit of, Manfeild (All Employees of Manfeild, Downtime Entertainment and 4 & Rotary Promotions:

  1. I have not consumed any alcohol or other drugs or substances which may affect my ability to drive, for the period of twelve (12) hours before signing this indemnity form.

  2. I will comply with the Occupational Safety and Health Regulations provided to me by Manfeild at all times.

  3. I will at all times comply with the instructions of the Manfeild, Downtime Entertainment and 4 & Rotary Promotions employees and agents.

  4. I will exercise all due care and will at all times comply with the Safety Regulations of Manfeild.

  5. I understand that the Manfeild Circuit Manager or any of their employees or agents may terminate and prohibit my access to the facility if I breach any of the terms in this indemnity form.

  6. I will be responsible for and will pay to make good any damage I may cause, whether deliberately or otherwise, to any property of Manfeild.

  7. I will not hold Manfeild, Downtime Entertainment, 4 & Rotary Promotions responsible for any damage, injury or death caused by mechanical failure or otherwise of any vehicle supplied by those parties, whether directly or through a sub-contractor, or due to the state of Manfeild.

  8. I understand that in consideration of HDMP granting me permission to use the Manfeild Circuit I warrant all of the above and will indemnify Manfeild, Downtime Entertainment, 4 & Rotary Promotions and together with their employees, directors, officials, representatives and agents from and against all actions, claims, costs, expenses and demands in respect of death, injury, loss or damage to person or property however caused, arising out of or in connection with my use of a vehicle and the Manfeild Circuit, including claims by third parties, notwithstanding that such claims may have been contributed to by the fault or negligence of Manfeild, Downtime Entertainment and 4 & Rotary Promotions.

  9. From time to time, sponsors and exhibitors may have special deals and promotions available for competitors and entrants from this event. We may be in touch via email or text which you can unsubscribe from at any time.

Manfeild release and waiver of liability assumption of risk and indemnity agreement.

Participant Release, Waiver and Indemnity – In consideration of being permitted to participate in any way in the above-named event as directed by the relevant officials at Manfeild, as the participant I hereby freely, voluntarily, and without duress acknowledge, agree and represent that I:

Understand that my presence at the above-named event is entirely at my own risk.

Agree to save harmless and keep indemnified Manfeild and its parent, subsidiary and affiliate companies (including the land owner) and their respective directors, officers, employees, contractors, and the respective sanctioning organisations, officials, track operators, officials, car owners, drivers, instructors, pit crews, rescue personnel, promoters, sponsors, fellow participants, servants, representatives, agents, and volunteers (collectively the “Released Parties”) from and against all losses, actions, claims, expenses and demands in respect of my death, injury, loss or damage to my property or to any other persons whatsoever howsoever caused arising out of or in connection with the this indemnity or my taking part in this event notwithstanding that such death, injury, loss or damage may have been contributed to or caused by the negligence of Manfeild and its parent, subsidiary and affiliate companies (including the land owner) and their respective directors, officers, employees, contractors, and the respective sanctioning organisations, officials, track operators, officials, car owners, drivers, instructors, pit crews, rescue personnel, promoters, sponsors, fellow participants, servants, representatives, agents, volunteers or any other person.

Releasing Parties – means and includes the undersigned as well as the undersigned’s spouse, children, parents, guardians, heirs, next of kin, and any legal or personal representatives, executors, administrators, successors, assigns, or anyone else who might claim or sue on the undersigned’s behalf.

Event – means any motor sports activities or services at the Manfeild Circuit which are organised or conducted by Manfeild or are permitted or approved by Manfeild or otherwise under the responsibility/control of Manfeild.

Acknowledge that I must obey the instructions of the Officials of the day and the instructor/driver of the motor vehicle I am a Rider, Driver or Passenger in.

Confirm that I have been briefed by Officials on basic event safety procedures and how to wear and subsequently uncouple the safety harness fitted to the vehicle or vehicles that I will ride in during the event.

Acknowledge that participation in this event requires physical stamina, motor coordination, and mental alertness and I hereby attest that I have No known health-related reasons or problems, to include physical or mental limitations, that preclude or restrict my participation and will not use any form of alcohol, prescription or non-prescription drugs that could impair my performance in this event. In addition, I attest that I have the skill and balance necessary to drive a vehicle/ride a bicycle and I am capable of sustaining moderate physical exertion over a period.

Acknowledge, agree, and represent that: I understand the nature of the activity and that I am over 18 years of age, qualified, in good health and in proper physical condition to participate in or observe such activity. I further agree and warrant that if at any time I believe conditions to be unsafe for myself, I will immediately discontinue further participation in the activity. I understand that motor sports, including the use of high performance street cars, race cars, motor bikes or go karts on a race track is an inherently dangerous activity, and accept any and all injuries I may sustain as I participate, attend, volunteer, sponsor, enjoy or work at this activity.

Acknowledge and understand that, as a participant, I may have access to drive a high-performance street car, race car, motor bike or go kart. As such, I undertake upon myself to fully indemnify Manfeild to the greatest extent allowed by law for any and all damages, regardless of nature and/or cause, that I may wilfully or recklessly contribute to. This includes mechanical and body damage to the vehicles due to my incorrect operation of the same, as well as my failure to follow proper procedures.

Certify that the vehicle being used is up to Warrant of Fitness Standards or meets current New Zealand competition standards.

Acknowledge and agree to comply with the safety rules and regulation provided to me by Manfeild or its employees and agents at all times, including the wearing of full safety clothing, helmet, footwear and other personal protective clothing and equipment at all times whilst required.

Acknowledge and understand that the Manfeild Circuit Manager or any of other Manfeild employees or agents may terminate and prohibit my access to the facility if I breach any of the terms in this indemnity form.

Acknowledge and agree that I will be responsible for and will pay to make good any damage I may cause, whether deliberately or otherwise, to any property of Manfeild.

Acknowledge that participation in this event requires physical stamina, motor coordination, and mental alertness and I hereby attest that I have No known health-related reasons or problems, to include physical or mental limitations, that preclude or restrict my participation and will not use any form of alcohol, prescription or non-prescription drugs that could impair my performance in this event. In addition, I attest that I have the skill and balance necessary to drive a vehicle/ride a bicycle and I am capable of sustaining moderate physical exertion over a period.

Consent to the details contained on this form and my photograph, video, voice and/or likeness being held and used by Manfeild and its parent, subsidiary and affiliate companies now and in the future for the purpose of promoting and running events concerned and all associated legal and administrative purposes. I acknowledge my right to access and correction of this information. This consent is given in accordance with the Privacy Act 1993.

Important Show & Shine Information

  • 1). Your entry covers you and your vehicle only.  If you need help to set up your vehicle for the Show & Shine (Saturday only), helpers will need to purchase a spectator pass from the registration desk, this will also allow your helper to enter the show on the Sunday when the gates open to the public at 9am. These rules are in place for the safety of your vehicles and venue. Security will be checking this and anyone found without a pass will be asked to leave the venue. 

    2). When you arrive at registration, please have your confirmation email or give your name to our staff and have a valid driver’s licence ready to confirm your identity.

    3). Once through registration, staff will direct you into position. Once in position, you may setup your car display.

    4). IMPORTANT, during pack in day (Saturday) kids 16 and under are not allowed inside the show halls, this is part of the venue Health & Safety policy. 

    5). If you are setting up as a club, please make sure your whole club is together BEFORE going through registration.

    6). Judging is done on Saturday night for the Show & Shine. Please do not set any car alarms, and if you wish your interior to be judged, leave your car unlocked. All competitors will be removed from the venue at 8pm sharp. Venue is patrolled both inside and out by security.

    7). Should you wish to make any last-minute changes to your vehicle display, competitor entry opens at 8am on Sunday. The show will conclude at 5pm on Saturday, at which point all vehicles must be vacated from the premises, and any display equipment removed. Vehicles cannot leave the premises until the show closes at 5pm Sunday.

    8). Due to strict venue rules, no aerosol cans or spray bottles maybe used inside the venue. Please polish your car and shine your tires before going through registration.

    9). If you are planning a display, please do not stick anything down to the floor. This includes tape, or any adhesives. 

Refund Policy

Refunds
If you can no longer make the event for whatever reason, there are no refunds. Any ‘no shows’ to the event or emailing afterwards will forfeit your entry. No refunds or transfers will be made. If you would like to transfer your entry, please reply to your confirmation email.

COVID-19
In case of cancelation or postponement, your entry will automatically be transferred to the next possible event date.
